How to Trial a Wine Preservation System Before You Buy
Every wine preservation system promises to cut waste and grow your by-the-glass list. Some operators already know exactly which one delivers that for them, and go straight to a purchase. If you're not there yet, a good way to find out is to see it working in your own venue first — watch the waste drop, watch your staff use it, watch customers respond.
And with SilverChef, you can do that by renting the system first, rather than paying the full purchase price upfront.
What a trial actually shows you
Bring an Enomatic or Le Verre de Vin+ into your venue and you'll get real numbers within weeks, not projections. How much wine you stop wasting. How many more wines you can confidently pour by the glass. How your customers respond to a bigger list. That's a far better basis for a decision than a spec sheet – and it's the fastest way to find out whether Enomatic or Le Verre de Vin+ is the right fit for your venue..jpg?width=2304&height=1728&name=Wine-Preservation-Systems_Edit_2026-07-22_1x%20(2).jpg)
How we make that possible
We work with SilverChef, a specialist hospitality equipment financier, to get systems into venues on a rental agreement. Through SilverChef's Rent-Try-Buy system, you pay a weekly rental fee for the system – with the flexibility to buy it outright or hand it back once you've had time to see it in action.
To be clear: buying an Enomatic or Le Verre de Vin+ outright is a sound investment either way. Rent-Try-Buy just makes it easy to be certain before your capital's committed. (We get it; we're a small business too.)
How Rent-Try-Buy works with Wine Preservation Systems
Once you're approved through SilverChef, we send your Enomatic or Le Verre de Vin+ system exactly as we would for an outright purchase (including installation, if you choose). From there, you're renting it, with up to 12 months to decide if it's right for you.
If it's not working out, you can:
- send it back and walk away
- upgrade to a different system
- swap for something completely different in SilverChef's catalogue
No lock-in, no penalty for changing your mind. If a Unica Start turns out to be the wrong fit and a Le Verre de Vin+ suits your venue better, you can swap them out. Or just get a... gelato maker instead!

Sold? You can buy it outright.
You don't have to wait out the full 12 months if you already know. Once you've tested the system in your venue, you have the option to purchase it outright and convert from rental to ownership — and your rental payments will count toward the purchase price.
Some venues know within the first week of service: the waste drops, the by-the-glass list grows, and the decision makes itself. The 12-month window is there for venues that want more time to be sure.
Curious what the rental payments would actually look like for your venue?
Getting started
Rent-Try-Buy is available on our Enomatic and Le Verre de Vin+ ranges, subject to SilverChef's standard approval process. If you want to talk through what a trial would look like for your venue – which model, what it costs to rent versus buy, how installation works – get in touch and we'll walk you through it.
