Why We're Now Wine Preservation Systems

Wine Preservation Systems
Wine Preservation Systems

Over the last two years, you've known us as Wine Pouring Systems. From now, you'll still be dealing with the same people, the same equipment, and the same support – but you'll start seeing a new name: Wine Preservation Systems.

(Yes, we know it's a tiny shift and you may not even notice!)

There's a simple reason for it, and it comes down to what we've spent the last two years doing, and what we're starting to do now.

Two years, one product, done properly

For the past two years, we've worked purely with Enomatic wine serving systems. That focus was deliberate – we wanted to be genuinely expert in one system and "Wine Pouring Systems" suited that chapter well. We had worked hands-on with Enomatics running Wineology, and it is a brand we respect and trust.

That chapter is changing. Our first order of Bermar's Le Verre de Vin+ preservation range is on the way, and we're bringing it into the fold alongside Enomatic.

Le Verre de Vin+ isn't new to Australia. It's been quietly available in this market for a while through other channels. What's new is that it now sits behind our business, our support, and the energy we can put into it as a dedicated distributor of the world's leading commercial wine preservation systems.

Why we're glad to have it alongside Enomatic

Bermar's Le Verre de Vin+ isn't a smaller or simpler version of Enomatic. It's a different tool for a different job.

  • Enomatic is a multi-purpose system: it displays wine, controls temperature, calibrates the pour, and preserves – all in one unit. It's the right fit when you want all of that handled by a single piece of equipment, and you're set up with the space and installation it needs. It's also the only system that provides a customer self-service option, a solution we are seeing gain more and more traction.

  • Bermar does one job, and does it brilliantly: preservation. No installation, no software, no calibrated pour mechanism to manage. Staff can pour wine straight from the bottle, which means more wines can be open at once with more flexibility in how you serve it. For sparkling wine, the ongoing preservation cost is close to nothing, and the still wine costs nothing to preserve each time.

Neither is an upgrade path from the other.

A venue that wants display, temperature control, calibrated pours and preservation in one unit should be looking at Enomatic. A venue that wants a simple, highly effective way to keep a flexible number of bottles open should be looking at Bermar.

And, I know we're biased, but we think there are plenty of venues who could benefit from having both systems!

Why the market needs both

Hospitality venues aren't one shape. A wine bar built around a curated by-the-glass list has different needs to a busy 300 pax restaurant that just wants more bottles open without waste, which has different needs again to a hotel adding a wine feature to its offering. One product can't be the right call for all of them.

That's the real reason for the name change. Wine Preservation Systems lets us recommend whichever system actually fits the venue in front of us – Enomatic, Le Verre de Vin, sometimes both – rather than trying to make one solution fit everyone.

What stays the same

Same team (David and Phoebe), same direct relationships, same ongoing service you're used to. What's changed is that our name now says plainly what we do: help venues across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands preserve wine at a commercial scale, whichever system gets them there – and as of now, that includes Bermar's Le Verre de Vin+ range, backed by us.

Curious about Le Verre de Vin+ or want to know which system suits your venue? Get in touch with Phoebe – she'll give you a straight answer.
